Materials:   Few yards cotton sport or DK-wt. yarn (sample shown in Tahki Cotton Classic)   Size G hook  Glue-on googly eyes  

Gauge: not important for this project 

Terms/Abbreviations: back loop only (BLO), beginning (beg), chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), hook (hk), repeat (rep), single crochet (sc), skip (sk), slip stitch (sl st), stitch (st) 

Bookmark 

 Head:   Ch 4, join into ring, then ch 3, work 11 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3, do not fasten off (12 dc)  Tail:  Ch 50. Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hk and in ea of next 8 ch (to form curly end of tail), sl st in next ch, fasten off and weave in ends. Glue on googly eyes.
