ring, ch 2, work 11 hdc in ring, join with sl st to
top of beg ch-2 (12 hdc)
Rnd 2 (inc rnd): Ch 2, hdc in same st, work 2 hdc in
ea hdc around, join with sl st

Rnd 3 (inc rnd): Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next
hdc, *2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in
next hdc, rep from * around, join with sl st (36 hdc)

working with double-strand of solid color cotton as

Rnd 14 (dec rnd): Ch 1, sc in same sc and in next3
sc, sc next 2 sc together, *sc
in next 4 sc, sc2tog, rep from * around, join with
sl st (60 sc)
Rnd 15: Ch 1, sc in ea sc around (60 sc)
Rnd 16 (dec rnd): Ch 1, sc in same sc and in next 2
sc, sc next 2 sc together, *sc
in next 3 sc, sc2tog, rep from * around, join with

Rnd 17: Ch 1, sc in ea sc around (50 sc)
Rnd 18: Slip st loosely in ea sc around, join with
sl st. Fasten off and weave in
