cotton/elastic blend yarn (sample shown in Cascade Yarns “Fixation”,
98% cotton, 2% elastic)

hook, or size to achieve gauge
Tapestry needle
Gauge: 18 dc & 10.5 rows = 4” in double crochet on size G hook
Terms/Abbreviations: beginning (beg), chain (ch), double crochet
(dc), each (ea), hook (hk), repeat (rep), skip (sk), slip stitch (sl
st), stitch (st), together (tog)
Special stitches:
Cross-stitch (X-st): skip next dc, dc in next dc, dc in skipped st
(taking hook to right in front of st just completed)
Dc2tog: double crochet 2 stitches together
Pattern notes: Headband is worked in rows from end to end, then
joined into circle with a slip stitch seam.

(RS): Ch 12, dc in 4th ch from hk, dc in ea ch across, turn (10 dc)
