accessory, just right for holding little essentials when you’re
stepping out for parties, proms or dance club nights under the
stars!

Crochet hook size G/6 (4.00 mm), or size needed to achieve gauge
Gauge:
18 sts & 22 rows = 4” in single crochet on size G/6 (4.00 mm) hook

Pattern notes:
Bag is
worked in one piece from base to top.
Do not
join or turn at end of rounds but continue in same direction
throughout.
Base
of bag is worked in continuous rounds. Body of bag is worked in
joined rounds. Follow pattern for instructions on when to use each
technique.
Special stitches/Techniques:
Magic
beginning ring: wrap yarn around finger once, insert hook into this
yarn ring, yarn over and pull loop through, chain as instructed and
work first round over strands of ring. After completing the first
few rounds, pull gently on yarn tail to close center of ring.
Reverse single crochet (rev sc): Work in single crochet from left
to right, instead of in the usual direction from right to left.
Shell:
Work 5 double crochet all in same stitch.

Notes:
Rounds 1-10 are worked in continuous rounds. Use contrast thread
marker to note beginning of rounds and carry it up as you work.
Do not
join or turn at end of rounds but continue working in same direction

Ch 4, join into ring (or use magic beginning ring method); ch 1,
work 6 sc in ring; do not join, do not turn (6 sc)

Rnd 22
(edging rnd): Ch 1, work rev sc in ea dc and sc around, join with sl
st. Fasten off and weave in all tails.
Chain
ties (make 2):
Leaving 8” tails at each end for tying and weaving in, ch 125.
Fasten off.
Finishing:
Beginning at one side of bag, weave chain tie through eyelets on Rnd
19. Holding both ends of same chain together, tie a double knot
about 1” from end. Weave tails through remnants of chain, working
towards the double knot. Bury tails securely by going through knot
several times.
Repeat
with other chain tie, starting on opposite side of bag and weaving
through eyelets on Rnd 19 in opposite direction from first chain
tie.
Pull
ties gently to close top of bag.
Optional: If desired, a fabric lining or small plastic container may
be added to inside of bag.
