Terms/Abbreviations:

Pattern notes:
Scarf is worked in two identical halves from cast-on edge to center
back neck, then halves are joined with 3-needle bind off.
Six
stitches at each edge of scarf are maintained in seed stitch
throughout, to form borders.
If
desired, use stitch markers as a visual aid to keeping your place in
pattern. Place markers on Row 1 and slip them every row thereafter.
A row
counter is useful for keeping track of rows in pattern.

Row 2: Knit the purl
stitches and purl the knit stitches as they face you.

4 front (C4F): Slip next 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front
of work, knit next 2 sts on left needle, knit 2 sts from cable
needle.

4 back (C4B): Slip next 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back
