Gauge: 1 repeat in pattern (yo, K2tog) = approx.
1-1/2" (after blocking)
Stitches/Terms: beginning (beg), bind off (BO),
cast on (CO), knit (k), knit two
together (K2tog), repeat (rep), stitch (st), yarn
over (yo)
Pattern notes:
Scarf begins at center back point. Triangle shape is
formed by increasing stitches
at the beginning of rows in a sequence of two
increase rows followed by two
even rows.

Cast on 2 stitches.
Knit 1 row.
Next row: K1 in front and back of each st (4 sts)
Begin pattern:
Row 1: K1, yo, K2tog, K1 (4 sts)
Row 2 (inc row): Cast on 2 sts at beg of row (note:
cast on sts by knitting into first
st and placing new st back on left needle, knit into
new st and place next new st
back on left needle), K1, (yo, K2tog) twice, K1 (6
sts)
Row 3 (inc row): CO 2 sts at beg of row, K1, (yo,
K2tog)3 times, K1 (8 sts)
Row 4 (work even): K1 *yo, K2tog, rep from * across
to last st, K1 (8 sts)
Row 5 (work even): Rep Row 4.
Row 6 (inc row): CO2 at beg of row, K1, *yo, K2tog,

dampening it (if appropriate), then laying it on a
thick towel. Stretch to
