Size 7 steel hook
1 tube of Blue/Black Gold rush yarn (or size 10 thread of your choice.)
small amount of knit-cro-sheen white/ pearl. ( or size 10 thread of your choice.)

Bodice: Ch 43 Starting at top of bodice.
1) Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining ch across. (43) Ch 1 turn.
2) Sc in each st across. (43) Ch 1 turn.
3-6) Repeat row 2. ( 43)
7) Sc in first 19 sts, * sc dec over next 2 sc, ( sc dec= Draw up a loop in the next 2 sc, 3 lps on hook, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook.) sc in next 7 sc* Repeat across. Ch 1 turn.
8) Sc across. ( 40 sc) Ch 1 turn
9) Sc in first 16 sc, dec 3 together ( draw up loop in next 3 sc yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook) sc in next 3 sts, dec next 3 sts together, sc in next 17 sts Ch 1 turn.
10) Sc across. ( 40sc) Ch 1 turn.
11) Sc across. ( 40 sc) Ch 2 turn.
12) Hdc in next 11 sc ( dc dec over next 2 sc) twice, ( dc dec= Yo, draw up lp in next st- 3 loops now on hook, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook, yo, draw up a loop in next st- 4 lps on hook,yo and draw through 2 lps on hook, yo and draw through rem 3 lps on hook.) hdc in last 11 sts. 13) ch 2. Hdc in first 10 hdc, ( dc dec over next 2 sts) twice, hdc in last 10 hdc ,Ch 2 turn ( 38 sts)
14) Ch 2, hdc in first 10 hdc,(dc dec over next 2 dc) twice. dc in next 5 dc, dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in next 6 dc,( dc dec over next 2 dc) twice, hdc in last 10 hdc.

15) Ch 2, hdc in first 16 sts, dc dec over next 2 dc, dc in the next 5 dc, dc dec over the next 2 dc, hdc in last 14 sts. Ch 2 turn.
16) Hdc in the first 10 hdc, dc in next 14 dc, hdc in last 10 hdc. Finish off weave in ends.

Skirt:
17) With right side facing you, rejoin thread or yarn to top at beginning of previous row. Ch 3, Work 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 3 dc * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc * Repeat across. Ending with dc in last 2 sts. Ch 3 turn
18) * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc *
Repeat between stars across. ch 3 turn.
19)* 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 6 dc* Repeat between stars across. ( 50 dc)

You will be working in rounds now instead of rows.

20) Skip over to the 3 st and sl st to close. this will make an over lap. Ch 3 dc in each st around. to the last sts that are over lapping and work through both thicknesses, sl st to top of beginning ch 3.
21- 42) Dc around sl st to top of beginning ch 3. At the end of 42 end off and weave in ends.

Shoulder Straps:
Left strap;
1) Holding dress with bottom edge facing you, join thread or yarn with sl st in first ch at left back top edge of bodice, ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in next 4 sts of back, Ch 17, sk next 11 sts, ( for arm hole) Being careful not to twist chain, join with sl st to next chon bodice front, finish off.
2) Holding dress with bottom edge facing you, rejoin in first sc with sl st. Ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in next 4 sts, sc across strap making sure it is not twisted, and sc in each ch across leaveing last 3 chs unworked and ch 3 sk 1 st and sl st in next st on bodice front, ( towards center) end off.
3 Holding dress with bottom edge facing you, rejoin in first st, with sl st. Ch 1, sc in same st as joining. sc in next 4 sts and across shoulder strap, to last 3 sts unworked. ch 3 sk 1 st and sl st in next st. end off weave in ends.

Right Strap; Repeat as for Left strap.


Barbie Shawl:
Lovers Knot:

Hook 7
Knit-Cro-Sheen White- pearl or color desired.

1) Ch 81 Sc in 2nd st from hook and in remaining sts across. ( 80 sc)
2) Lovers -Knot * skip 2 sts, sc in next st Lovers Knot* repeat across ( 26 LK)
3) LK, sc in next sc, LK, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat across.
4-7) Repeat row 3 ( 26 LK)
Cut contrast color in 6" lengths slip knot in every sc on edge of Shawl ( about 50 lengths)

Hair Flower:
Contrast color ( Or same color as dress) Ch 3, 2 dc in second st from hook, * sc in same stitch. 3 dc in same st* Repeat betqween stars 3 more times take white headed straight pin or hat pin and pin it in Barbies hair design, I chose the front of her hair.
