Materials needed:

a purchased pair of socks, pre-washed for shrinkage

size 10 bedspread weight cotton thread

Number of Faceted 6mm beads needed to cover 2 sock cuffs.  You'll need one bead for every other sock rib around the cuffs.

size 7 steel crochet hook.

Instructions:

Before you begin to crochet around the first sock, string faceted 6mm beads onto crochet thread.  You'll need 1 bead for every other sock cuff rib.  Repeat this procedure for the second sock, once you finish crocheting the first sock's trim.

With sock cuff folded down (just as you would wear it), slip stitch in any cuff rib. Single Crochet in same cuff rib.  Chain 2.  Pull up a bead to the crochet hook.  Secure with bead with a single crochet.  Chain 3.  Single crochet in same cuff rib just above the first single crochet.  Single crochet in next cuff rib.  *Single crochet in next cuff rib. Chain 2.  Pull up a bead to the crochet hook.  Secure with bead with a single crochet.  Chain 3.  Single crochet in same cuff rib just above the first single crochet.  Single crochet in next cuff rib. * Repeat between * and * around cuff rib.  End with a single crochet in the first slip stitch.

Fasten off with a long strand of thread.

Weave in ends SECURELY!  This will help keep the sock trim from unraveling when socks are washed.

Repeat these instructions with the 2nd sock.
