One Row Sock Trim #02 with Round Faceted 6mm & 4mm Beads copyright 2003 This beaded Sock Trim edging pattern was designed by piece-by-piece. Please do not post this pattern to any other web site or online Message Board.
Materials needed: a purchased pair of socks, pre-washed for shrinkage size 10 bedspread weight cotton thread Number of Faceted 6mm & 4mm beads needed to cover 2 sock cuffs. You'll need a bead for every other sock rib around the cuffs. size 7 steel crochet hook. Instructions: Before you begin to crochet around the first sock, string one faceted 6mm, then one 4mm faceted bead onto crochet thread. Repeat this procedure until you have enough beads pre-strung to cover the cuff of the sock. You'll need 1 bead for every other sock cuff rib. With sock cuff folded down (just as you would wear it) and with folded part of sock cuff nearest you, slip stitch in any cuff rib. Single Crochet in same cuff rib. Chain 2. Pull up a bead to the crochet hook. Secure with bead with a single crochet. Chain 3. Single crochet in same cuff rib just above the first single crochet. Single crochet in next cuff rib. *Single crochet in next cuff rib. Chain 2. Pull up a bead to the crochet hook. Secure with bead with a single crochet. Chain 3. Single crochet in same cuff rib just above the first single crochet. Single crochet in next cuff rib. * Repeat between * and * around cuff rib. End with a single crochet in the first slip stitch. Fasten off with a long strand of thread. Weave in ends SECURELY! This will help keep the sock trim from unraveling when socks are washed. Repeat these instructions with the 2nd sock.
